The Villa

There are many benefits of renting your own detached Villa such as not having to share a pool, it is quieter, and more tranquil and so the list goes on.

Of course, a detached villa is more expensive than an apartment but if you have two families sharing there will not be much of a difference than renting two apartments. Below is a picture of the local Town followed by further information.

The detached Villa is set a couple of miles outside of Town so is a car journey away. The Villa has two bathrooms and three bedrooms. Maybe I should say shower rooms as there are no baths. One of these is an en-suite.

All Bedrooms are of a large double size. One bedroom with the en-suite has a king size bed, one double bedroom has a double bed and the other large double can have bunk beds and a single bed (or just two singles) along with a large arm chair. More mattresses are available if required. There is also a large TV in the bedroom with bunk beds so if you have kids (or Dads) that want to bring their Wii or play station then please do so.

There are also English TV channels in the lounge area where there are two settees. A large range of DVDs are also available.

The pool was constructed approx three years ago. It was built to my specifications. It was not the cheapest way of building a pool but if you want something a little different……. As you will see from the picture below there is a small pool with inner seating and it is probably less than 1 metre deep. The larger pool has a shallow end of approx. 1.5 metres and the deep end is just less than 2 metres. This is a pool you can swim in, not one that you bang your knees on when you reach the shallow end. There are a few floats left hanging around so you can have a ‘dangle' around in the pool if you are not too energetic. The pool is fenced in so it is safe for kids if you need to keep them out of the pool, as long as you lock the gate when not in use. The entire land is completely fenced in.

There are grapes growing around the house and the land. Some are Winter grapes and others are good to eat at the start of September. One of my Spanish neighbours tends the land. In total there is about 1.5 acres. He also grows vegetables for the summer so no doubt you will be able to have some of the produce while you are there. We normally have three hundred kilos of tomatoes, onions, cucumbers etc. It does taste a lot different when you pick something and eat it 5 minutes later. It tastes really different.

I have a large fridge freezer here, and I also have an additional beer fridge and another freezer if you need the space. The additional fridge is a great idea for drinks. I also have an outside electric plug so good for your music etc. All the usuals here for a property of the calibre, Washing machine, iron, micro wave, 5 ring gas hob, slightly less than eye level oven, granite work tops, breakfast bar etc. See below for more photos.

Who is this property suitable for?

Well, I have an opinion, maybe a wrong one but here goes. With the views in the mountains and the tranquility of it all, I would say it is suitable for someone that likes no hassle, a bit of piece and quiet and wants a change from the busy coastal resorts. Having said that, with the coast being a short drive away, it is not too far to take the kids to the Aqua Park and beach. The Aqua Park and beach are one hour away. If you have teenagers that need night clubs then this is not the place for them although I believe there is a club that stays open until 6am in the local town. It is as far removed from your night club scene as you can get, but bring your MP3 player and plug it into the amp in the lounge and you can have your own party.

The Villa is on the Tom Tom Sat Nav and I will supply a DVD with directions before you travel. The DVD will also have details of how to get to the local supermarket etc.

The place is located outside the White Washed Village of Seron in Andalucia, Southern Spain. It is closest to Almeria Airport but people could also travel from the Airports of Alicante, Murcia, Granada and Malaga . Almeria is 1 hour fifteen minutes away. The other airports are about 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours away. Ryan Air and Easyjet go to Almeria Airport here in Spain .

Is it sunny?

Yes, the property is located in the only desert area in Europe . It rarely rains but I don't control the weather so nothing is 100% guaranteed but it as close to having no rain as you can get in Europe I would say. This property is located in an area that is not as humid as the coastal areas so it is normally a bit more comfortable of a night and also during the day. The daytime temperatures in the summer are normally in the mid thirties.

Prices and available dates.

I am renting this property out for the summer of 2008 from 4 th June onwards. It is occupied from the 28th July to the 25th August 2008.

Other dates available are charged at a cost of £850 per week.

How many does it sleep – Well there are enough beds for 7 people but if you are willing to fit more on mattresses on the floor, you could probably get another two in to take it to nine.
